Your using obsolete software that isn't even supported in gentoo. Please upgrade to 31.4.0 and let us know your results. If you can duplicate with said version please reopen and update bug info. Tested with 31.3 and 24.8, the same result. Please fix it not only for 31.3, but also for 24.8 (in current Portage tree, so I hope it's supported) because I don't intend to use 31.3, it has ugly interface (grey fields in the composition window etc.). I will be more then happy to have a look at 31.x as far as back porting to 24.x it will not happen. I have done stated in an email today on dev mailing list we will be removing all obsolete versions that are no longer maintained. Don't rewrap flowed plain-text messages to window width when displaying. True: Ignore flowed formatting despite format=flowed being set. False (default): Honor flowed formatting if format=flowed is present. You setting it to true is the actuall problem. Set it back to default and formatting will be honored. Setting it to default did nothing (that surprises me, I set it long ago because of not wrapping, now it wraps even when false, but still badly). I have the window wide enough (Full HD), but I want wrapping because of mailing lists (72 columns from netiqette). And I strongly disagree with making 24.x obsolete, because there a lot of problems with 31.x, which are NOT solved (e.g. UGLY grey text fields [1]). I'd like to use 31.x but the interface looks comparably bad to 24.x like GNOME 3 apps to GNOME 2 apps on XFCE (I don't upgrade these applications from the same reason). [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1347305 If your issues with thunderbird are interface-related, perhaps a switch to seamonkey might give you something more akin to what you would like..? At any rate, closing as RESO/OBSOLETE; if you find this issue still occurs on thunderbird-38.1 or above please reopen. |
