The problem with >20k messages is that they seem to start "loading", as indicated by the progress bar at the bottom, very slowly where it takes one second to process 10 messages. Until 20k it processes about a thousand per second. However, when it gets over 21k it seems to return to normal. Now I have waited to see all the progress and observed it takes another second to get to 22k, then to 23k and then it jumps to 29k where it finishes. I think such a thing will need to be reported upstream if still relevant. Agreed, if that still happens with current versions of claws-mail and dependencies, this does not look like a Gentoo-specific issue (my largest IMAP folders are "only" 10k messages though) |
