It doesn't show up in the list when you do `/etc/init.d/<script>`, but its there. This is a bug in openrc which should list extra_started_commands. Can you please open a bug there. As I said in the other bug, service specific command help is shown by the describe command, by running: rc-service foo describe or /etc/init.d/foo describe If you want to add this type of help to your scripts, see man openrc-run, and the description and description_$command variables.
