Output of gdb backtrace: (gdb) backtrace #0 0x00000000004697ae in nm_netlink_monitor_attach (self=0x710620) at nm-netlink-monitor.c:478 #1 0x000000000046a3e4 in nm_netlink_monitor_get () at nm-netlink-monitor.c:841 #2 0x0000000000426eba in main (argc=1, argv=0x7fffffffe608) at main.c:527 I have the same issue (probably since I upgraded to net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.8.10-r1). But for me it's happening even with --no-daemon. When I run: /etc/init.d/NetworkManager start I get this in the log: kernel: [15143.235291] traps: NetworkManager[13018] general protection ip:46969e sp:7ffff121ca40 error:0 in NetworkManager[400000+103000] gdb shows it's the same issue: (gdb) backtrace #0 0x000000000046969e in nm_netlink_monitor_attach () #1 0x000000000046a2d4 in nm_netlink_monitor_get () #2 0x0000000000426dfa in main () Found the solution here: https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1310 Downgrading to either dev-libs/libnl-3.2.23 or dev-libs/libnl-3.2.24-r1 works. So I added =dev-libs/libnl-3.2.25 to /etc/portage/package.mask. (I don't want to use the latest net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.10.1_pre20141101 because that depends on net-wireless/bluez-5, where duplex profiles are not working.) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 515132 *** (In reply to Paul Tobias from comment #3) > Found the solution here: https://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1310 > > Downgrading to either dev-libs/libnl-3.2.23 or dev-libs/libnl-3.2.24-r1 > works. Thanks a lot Paul! I also have bluez-5 masked. So I masked '=dev-libs/libnl-3.2.25' as well and now no more segfaults from networkmanager. Thanks a lot!!! |
