IO-Interface-0.98.ebuild
Ebuild :)
This module can be installed by using the g-cpan.pl script provided by Gentoo. # g-cpan.pl IO::Interface Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be better to have portage managing the modules? Modules are only added to portage if they fulfill a dependancy (see policy guidelines on gentoo website). We are not attempting to duplicate cpan - only to include those portions we need to keep track of because they either fulfill dependancies for other packages, offer additional applications, help us to meet a security guideline, or help to bring different installs of perl (5.8.0 and 5.8.2, for instance) up to speed on *core* perl modules. We have enough trouble keeping track of the 480+ modules that we already maintain. Sorry if this harsh, but this policy is in place to avoid modules being lost in the tree. Forgot to add - if this module fulfills a dependancy, please reopen this bug and identify that package that is missing this support. Thanks :) |
