latest build log for failed mesa 10.3.1
I tried one last time today, just to make sure. The build log shows the same failure as previous attempts. I base that statement around where it says "...end of file not at end of a line..."
I'm pretty sure you simply ran out of memory. Try again without -pipe in CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS and without MAKEOPTS set. Alternatively, look at dmesg output to figure out if the process got killed for a different reason. If so, post the results. I synced my system, which made me switch to mesa-10.3.5. I removed -pipe and MAKEOPTS, but it still failed. dmesg confirmed your theory about running out of memory. I increased swap from 1Gig to 3Gig and it worked. Thank you very much for the advice. I will try to change status to RESOLVED. I guess INVALID is right. |
Created attachment 391734 [details] last emerge --info I got for mesa-10.3.1 I can't get mesa-10.3.1 to build as a dependency for other programs. I've tried various things, but nothing works. I'm not sure what to say. The build logs seem to end with the same error info. I tried a newer version. but it failed too. I'm not sure if those ebuilds would let me use a newer version anyway.
