xorg.conf

Hi
I have installed Gentoo few days ago on a macbook 8.3 with 2 graphic cards
One Intel built-in
One ATI

I am focus on the Intel one because this is the one that works the best (btw it is not working) for the moment.

When I start I login into the console.
Then I start X with the simple X command (no startx nor startdm.sh)

and instead of switching to the dark/gray backbround with the black cross in the middle I switch to VT 7 ( as u can see in the logs attached) with a black background and a single cursor on the top left of the screen.

I can switch back to the console with ctrl-alt-f1(for example).

So everything looks good except that I can't use X

I can reproduce it all the time

Why do you use configuration file?
Comment 4 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-12-08 14:49:16 UTC
Try our forums, IRC channels and mailing lists for support. When you find an actual bug, do report it on this site.

Because X crash when it tries to auto configure
Comment 6 Xavier CHARLES 2014-12-08 16:09:36 UTC
I have open a bug because I did not find anything into mailling/forums/docs
Comment 7 Xavier CHARLES 2014-12-09 14:10:36 UTC
why did u mark that as resolved? your comment is not relevant...
Comment 8 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-12-09 14:45:16 UTC
When you find an actual bug, please file a bug report. When you find something is not working as expected, look for the cause first instead of filing a bug report.
