Should I create a separate bug for PPC64 ? well, hold off on the separate bug for now -- let's see what the two teams make of the request first. It's possible to add this to the livecd, but we are probably unable to test reliably (lacking systems we can repartition). I can have a look for 2004.3. For what it's worth I have both of my ppc since(2004.1) and ppc64(since2004.2) system running lvm2, swap and home directory are on lvm2. Actually, we should be doing this for all arches to have proper support. We have been including lvm2 in the template for a while. Is there any reason why it isn't on the 2004.2 release? This is definitely in the x86 spec files. Pieter: if you can add this to the PPC release, we can consider this one RESOLVED. verified for 2004.3 Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this. |
