This is in progress, I've launched a query to gentoo-core about related issues. Well, I added freetype as a dep to qt and kdebase and some other ebuilds back then, and the problem went away. But I'll keep this a reminder to myself that qt/kde* _might_, under some circumstances link agianst xfree's freetype instead of the /usr one, which is unpleasant even if it works. I'll investigate it someday to be sure it's ok. if one could find a way to make ld look in /usr/lib first before /usr/X11R6/lib it would fix this problem this linking to xfree's freetype also seem to cause me not to be able to use the console font (the linux like one) under konsole I also have this problem. Didn't help emerging freetype. Hi .. this is fixed for xfree-4.2.1-r2 .... OK if you say so :-) |
