During emerge update, compilation of boost continously increases cpu load until the system become unresponsive

Reproducible: Always

Sounds like your computer runs out of RAM. You should post the output of `emerge --info dev-libs/boost` and the build.log file.

2) Please attach the entire build log to this bug report.

Ok, the 9th build seems the lucky one. Now it has compiled without any problem.
If you still want logs I'll paste them but
