It would be nice to ahve a new key word added to the emerge program. 

I propose a "--show uses".

When invoked It would pause during the emerge process and display the proposed uses of the pending emerge. 

It'd give a Gentooer a chance to double think what's about to happen, before it does.

this is called --ask --verbose.
