The deps may need tweaking.

Can you try it with latest stable ffmpeg?

Latest stable is media-libs/libav-9.14, which I have been using.

...but builds successfully with libav-9.17 :)

So, it also fails to build with libav-9.17.

Success with libav-10.5 instead.
