That's because installing mpv triggers an upgrade of libquvi: media-libs/libquvi-0.9.4:0/8 [0.4.1-r1:0.4] which triggers a re-install of mpv. Looks sound to me. What is the bug here? Shouldn't this happen the first time mpv is installed? The output I posted is from running `emerge -pvuDN world` immediately after mpv was installed. Isn't portage supposed to trigger these updates the first time around? I didn't think running `emerge -uDN world` after any new package is installed is required. In the first emerge call you didn't ask -uD but in the second you did. Ah, OK. That does make sense. This is the first time I've actually seen this happen, but these machines have a very small set of packages installed. It can be closed. |
