Oh yes, there are 2 gentoo ix86 cd images at http://www.sys-v.com/gentoo/ Both of these are built with SMP compliant kernels. one is gentoo 1.2, the other is gentoo 1.3b Cheers Is this still an issue with the new live cd? Is it possible with iso-linux (or whatever live-cd use) to have more than one kernel ? I'll check if this is a problem with the liveCD's as I am about to install gentoo on a bunch of VALinux Fullon 2200's. as for the iso-linux question, I would be supprised if it did not support more than one kernel. Cheers, Dean (Alron) Our 1.4_rc1 CDs should all have SMP kernels, and our experimental livecds at http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd have SMP kernels. Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this. |
