Created attachment 386312 [details, diff] Patch to upgrade guvcview 1.7.3 ebuild to 2.0.1 Looks like it may be this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1362358 http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg81515.html Probably worth trying an upgrade to guvcview 2.0.1 (attached ebuild changes emerge for me, maybe gsl could be optional) http://sourceforge.net/p/guvcview/git-master/ci/1c3c037b6d02eef3d953b51dd41a88627473296a/tree/ChangeLog (In reply to Chris Mayo from comment #1) > Created attachment 386312 [details, diff] [details, diff] > Patch to upgrade guvcview 1.7.3 ebuild to 2.0.1 > > Looks like it may be this: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1362358 > http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg81515.html > > Probably worth trying an upgrade to guvcview 2.0.1 (attached ebuild changes > emerge for me, maybe gsl could be optional) > http://sourceforge.net/p/guvcview/git-master/ci/ > 1c3c037b6d02eef3d953b51dd41a88627473296a/tree/ChangeLog Thanks Chris, after installing guvcview-2.0.1 the issue disappeared. I just hit the problem at the second system. It would ber really good, if guvcview-2.0.1 would find its way into the portage tree. I am seeing the same problem as well. Versions before 2.0.1 are buggy and won't work with kernel >= 3.16: http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-media@vger.kernel.org/msg80144.html Please stabilize >=2.0.1. Thanks. 2.0.3 in the tree (please use a separate bug for the stabilization of the concrete version that should be used) |
