Isn't this at least worth a news item to explain how to handle this conflict? Drop USE=symlink for media-video/mplayer2 If use symlink is enabled, then 'mplayer -> mplayer2' symlink is created in /usr/bin/ directory, of course media-video/mplayer2[symlink] blocks media-video/mplayer package, because it installs /usr/bin/mplayer. If you want to install both mplayer and mplayer2, then just disable USE symlink for mplayer2 package. |
