I recently filed a bug relating to kde-base/marble not compiling because qtphonon was deprecated in favor of phonon. With qtphonon unmerged and phonon emerged marble re-emerged everything fine. However, sci-astronomy/stellarium-0.12.4 depends on qtphonon. This was reported in this bug report some nine months ago: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=493720.

Another however: the latest version from stellarium.org is 0.13.0. Portage is somewhat out of date.

Not a good state of affairs.

Not sure what exactly the bug is: 
1 qtphonon deprecated 
2 sorry state of affairs portage 
3 just stellarium ebuild should be updated 
4 package maintainer should be found for stellarium.

Maybe all. Or maybe I don't get it.

Dup of bug #522014. Maybe bug #522014 should stay open until qt5 is unmasked in tree?
