Changing CFLAGS from "-march=core-avx-i -O2 -pipe" to "-march=core2 -mtune=generic -Os -pipe -msse3 -msse4 -mcx16 -msahf -mpopcnt -mpreferred-stack-boundary=6" 'emerge gnome-control-center' works again. Refering to you log: > make[5]: *** [check-local] Illegal instruction and then your emerge --info says: > Linux-3.16.3-gentoo-x86_64-Intel-R-_Core-TM-_i7_CPU_M_620_@_2.67GHz-with-gentoo-2.2 However i7-M620 does not have AVX support. Fixing your CFLAGS is the proper solution for your setup. |
