Can you post the command-line that fails? (In reply to Nikos Chantziaras from comment #1) > Can you post the command-line that fails? Just running livestreamer with no arguments. The output of that is contained at the beginning of my original report. (In reply to headcrabextra from comment #2) > Just running livestreamer with no arguments. The output of that is contained > at the beginning of my original report. Works fine here. Also, I can't find a dep on certifi anywhere in the livestreamer sources. I guess that you have another package installed that is used by livestreamer directly or indirectly (maybe USE flag differences) that in turn depends on certifi. In any case, I don't see livestreamer using certifi anywhere in its sources. Or I could be wrong, since I don't know much about Python modules... I found the same bug report for achlinux: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41848 It says that it's dev-python/requests problem. Indeed I upgraded requests to 2.4.1 and now it works even without certifi. I guess we can close this bug then. I suspect it might be best to open a bug against the problematic version of dev-python/requests. If it turns out that we do actually need to depend on certifi in livestreamer (sounds unlikely though,) then please reopen. |
