I've also seen this, but only with M9. It appears to happen intermittently. It does not appear with the sun-jdk. Suggestions for useful workarounds are welcome. Talked one of the eclipse. He says 1.4.2 or newer of the JDK is needed. I added a check to pkg_setup and a DEPEND=">=virtual/jdk-1.4.2" that should catch this. So, if you're trying to run this on a commerical Sun-derived VM, upgrade to 1.4.2 or newer. |
When compiling eclipse-sdk-3.0.0_pre8-r3, the compilation got stuck after a while using 100% cpu and doing nothing. The faulty process was javadoc. After a "killall -9 javadoc" ("killall javadoc" did nothing), the emerge resumed and installation succeeded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. unmask eclipse-sdk >= 2.9 2. emerge eclipse-sdk 3. Actual Results: installation never completed Expected Results: installation should have completed I'm using blackdown-jdk 1.4.1
