Created attachment 384092 [details, diff] revert glib's buggy commit 518e3104bf6cdb5d8e6b43d3b721805db5951139 Hi. Today after upgrading glib on 32-bit system skype started to segfault: #1 0xb45b8593 in g_malloc () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #2 0xb45b8883 in g_malloc_n () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #3 0xb45c0fcc in g_quark_from_static_string () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 ... Package versions: net-im/skype-4.1.0.20 dev-libs/glib-2.40.0-r1 After searching other bugzillas two solutions were found: 1. downgrade to <glib-2.36 2. revert commit 518e3104bf6cdb5d8e6b43d3b721805db5951139 on glib I've made patch that reverts bad commit and attached it to report. It seems that emul-linux-x86-baselibs-20140508 is also affected as it contains glib-2.38 (will try to check it on x86_64 host later)
