Arches, please go ahead. amd64 stable Stable for HPPA. This breaks the fonts in www-client/firefox-34.0.5-r1 for me. Basically, with 2.34, I get strange ligature combinations both in site content as well as the url bar. Some sample text combinations that break are "fi" and "fl" as well as many others. Downgrading to dejavu-2.33 fixed things. I also was hit by this firefox 31.3.0 (latest amd64 stable) also has trouble I had problems reading the file:///usr/share/doc/getmail-4.46.0/configuration.html it looks like it expects that ligatures work, but is useing the wrong glyph. e.g. configure shows up as conHjgure other places had a small epislon... it renders a incorrect glyph but copy and paste show the expected characters as does view source. I don't know if this is a firefox problem or a font problem or even a LANG= or stylesheet problem but it currently renders text much harder to read, if they were the correct glyphs it would actually be kind of nice. currently I have masked media-fonts/dejavu-2.34 and things are back to normal. I have the same problems with "fi", "ff", "fl" in firefox-31.3.0 after updating from dejavu-2.33 to dejavu-2.34. alpha stable x86 stable arm stable ppc stable ppc64 stable sparc stable I found that running firefox help->Troubleshooting Information->Reset Firefox would also cause the ligature to be turned off, but would still save my tabs, bookmarks, passwords, cookies and history. Works well enough for me. ia64 stable. Closing. |
