This is an auto-filled bug because this package fails to compile with format-security. To reproduce use CFLAGS -Werror=format-security.

mdbtools-0.6 is very old and I think it is no longer supported. Does this problem occur with 0.7? If not then the best solution would be to remove 0.6 from the portage tree.

hello @chris, this doesn't occur with app-office/mdbtools-0.7.1

Can we start to stablereq version 0.7.1 (current stable version is 0.6_pre2-r2) and then prune out old versions? if taking your suggestion as removing 0.6 ..

I don't know what the process is for promoting ebuilds to stable. However, since 0.7.1 has been in the tree for over a year with no problems then I suppose it ought to be promoted.

I've opened bug 521896, usually we start to do stabilization while ebuilds in tree for 30 days and with no major bug opened (or with no regression).

The upstream bug report https://github.com/brianb/mdbtools/issues/58 has been closed because it is fixed in 0.7
