According to the developer's website, http://www.tobias-elze.de/pdfsandwich/, hocr2pdf (provided by exact-image) is superseded by tesseract as default, when tesseract is >=3.03.  This means that that version is not required, but provides additional functionality.  I'm not really sure the best way to handle that in an ebuild, but I figured I'd file a report on it.

Apparently, tesseract-3.03_rc1 doesn't satisfy this requirement, so I guess there is no rush on a solution to this.

Hi,
Sorry, but I'll close this bug as invalid for the following reasons

- There is no tesseract_3.03 yet (outside of Google), 3.03_rc1 is the latest version and we have it.
- pdfsandwich already uses tesseract.
- I'm in regular contact with Tobias Elze, the developer.
- There is nothing I can do here, except bump tesseract when it becomes available.
