Well, a variant of this has already been reported to the maintainer on irc (it's '$(use_enable fluidsynth amidiplug) $(use_enable midi amidiplug)' that triggers this) - he's sitting upon it. A solution for this was already noted in the version bump bug (folding 'fluidsynth' useflag into 'midi'). I see the same bug on my servers.
