I will update the mask message. the package is not in a good shape to be in ~arch but it's useful enough to be in the tree. What exactly does "not good enough shape" mean? Bad ebuild? Package itself is bad? Please elaborate on exactly what is wrong with it that makes it unsuitable for ~arch. It means the way the ebuild is written makes the package not fully functional so one can unmask it and use it but it will not function 100%. Some things are missing/disabled and I need to dig further to fix them. Is that not good enough reason to keep it masked? If it's been in the tree for two years and still is not functional, then it probably needs to go to an overlay or something until it's actually ready to be in the tree. (In reply to Chris Reffett from comment #4) > If it's been in the tree for two years and still is not functional, then it > probably needs to go to an overlay or something until it's actually ready to > be in the tree. Sorry, i meant the latest version is not functional. The other one, for all I know, it probably works. So I will adjust the mask and close the bug |
