this is what we have mirrors for This would be bug only if the ebuild had RESTRICT for 'mirror' or 'fetch' Otherwise you simply have a problem with your mirror settings in make.conf Sorry to waste your time. I found that I needed to have my GENTOO_MIRROR set to use "ftp://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/pub/gentoo/". I didn't think this was the problem, though, because I hadn't had any problems with it yet, and there wasn't anything I could find on setting a subdirectory for the mirror in any of the docs. I don't think my setup is that unusual, but this seemed to fix it for me. |
