LIRC 0.9.1a was released on 07-Aug-2014. Hotfixes: configuration file, --output option lirc-0.9.2 was released on 9-Dec-2014. New upstream release: 0.9.2a 8/2/15 Maintenance release: bugfixes, no new features. Notably fixes #85, multiple --connect regression. Fixes bad bug for locating ~/.lircrc config file. Documentation and lirc.org updates. All in all 19 patches. Latest upstream release: [14-Oct-2015]: lirc-0.9.3a Ebuild for lirc-0.9.2a-r1 is here: http://data.gpo.zugaina.org/benklop/app-misc/lirc/ supports systemd and compiles against libftdi-1.* on my system (see my bug #566852) but drops support selecting which drivers to build via LIRC_DEVICES. Is anyone willing to proxy maintain this package? https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers Hey guys. I'm newbie in ebuild development, but I created ebuild for lirc-0.9.3a that works at gentoo-sources kernel 4.1.15. (Because ebuilds for lirc I found at known overlays are piece of crap.) I'm not sure if it's allowed to publish external links in here, but you may find all required files in here https://github.com/developersu/loperOverlay/tree/master/app-misc/lirc . I hope it will help someone. Do you want to proxy maintain this? :/ Created attachment 430326 [details]
updated lirc ebuild
I have tweaked this ebuild. I still need to test it. I don't mind proxy maintaining this for you, or possibly co-maintaining it. I'll be hosting this on my rich0 overlay (in layman) as well until I'm sure all the kinks are worked out.
Note that I renamed the init.d script to include the version stamp.
I've submitted a pull request, based on the work of Richard Freeman and loper, that bumps lirc to 0.9.4 (the current latest version). https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/1774 Resolved (I just can't mark it as such): https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/e2dc560329d213f2e527b9140234157c19965240 Thanks Craig! |
