Description Daniel Webert 2004-05-19 16:47:02 UTC
dev-libs/eet-0.9.9.20040515 tar broken

- the seems to be broken ... emerge wants to download in a loop ...
- created a new digest and emerge says the following ...

<snip>
Unpacking eet-0.9.9.20040515.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/eet-0.9.9.20040515/work

bzip2: Compressed file ends unexpectedly;
        perhaps it is corrupted? *Possible* reason follows.
bzip2: Success
        Input file = /usr/portage/distfiles/eet-0.9.9.20040515.tar.bz2, output file = (stdout)
</snap>

btw. which priority and severtiy do we choose for broken tar in distfiles?

You can look at my comments on Bug 51517 to see what I think the issue is... The ebuild for the current version of eet is incomplete, which "I think" results in the looping download problem that you see...

What's more is that it looks like a fair amount of nearly *every* ebuild associated with E is hosed! I would wait for a while before trying again :-)

Cheers,

- Brendan
