Description Artem Baguinski 2002-07-17 06:57:41 UTC
the point is (correct me if i'm wrong) that when installing the package "dojar"
isn't used to install jar's so neither classpath.env nor package.env are
created. it would be really great if they would, coz then to we could just:

java-config --set-user-classpath=ant,j2ee

to have j2ee jars in CLASSPATH.

This will require some additional trickery with java-config, I'll get to it.

It's been a year since I hacked on EJBs, but from what I can remember, it takes
more than just including the correct .jar files into the CLASSPATH for it all to
work.

However, if I'm mistaken, please come back with a list of jar files in
/opt/sun-j2ee that needs to be added to the CLASSPATH, and I'll make j2ee appear
as a package to java-config quite easily.

We need a much better, more general solution to this in the long run. I'm
marking this one for LATER. It's definitely post-1.4 stuff.
