As of 1.7 we will only provide the latest upstream recommended series (also called mainline). For people looking for older ebuilds, we've set up an overlay. You can read more here: https://github.com/gentoo/nginx-overlay. This overlay will hopefully be available through layman shortly. Even if you don't agree to our reasoning, we unfortunately won't add older versions. There were a few technical arguments (avoiding slot:ing for one) which together with upstream recommendation motivated our decision. |
