The curl & expat libs are used only in examples/Makefile.am for building an example program that doesn't even get installed (noinst_PROGRAMS). I'm going to work-around this for the multilib conversion but would prefer to upstream some kind of --disable-examples option.

Sadly, I can't find any active upstream for this project. The Google Code site seems dead, and the original homepage domain expired. Launchpad seems to have a mirror of VCS but I feel like there's no place to meaningfully report bugs. @sound, any suggestions?
