I tried to emerge elilo during Gentoo ia64 install and one of its dependencies, sys-boot/gnu-efi-3.0s, fails to build with
ia64-unknown-linux-gnu-gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-maccumulate-outgoing-args’
This prevents from completing ia64 install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
ia64, CFLAGS is set to "-O2 -pipe -mtune=itanium2". Other pacakages emerge fine with this setup.

Just tested that removing the problematic option -maccumulate-outgoing-args works on IA64 - the package compiles and successfully boots my system.
