Yes, it would be nice to be able to emerge phpsysinfo 2.2 in our machines, :).

phpsysinfo v2.2 is now in Portage.  I confess that I haven't tested it, and you'll definitely need to emerge webapp-config-1.10-r2 first.

Give it a go, and let me know how you get on.
