While not called in the ebuild, it is called in the eclass so all KDE ebuilds support epatch_user. Thanks - it works now :). mkdir -p /etc/portage/patches/kde-base/krdc-4.13.1 cp rb115059.patch /etc/portage/patches/kde-base/krdc-4.13.1 emerge -1 krdc This way it only works for krdc-4.13.1 obviously.
