I would like to see search results for similar packages on ebuild-page. ie. if i was looking at autotrace-page, i would see link to frontline in the bottom.

There's no link in portage currently that identifies this relationship.  The only way it could be done, therefore, is to maintain a database of relationships manually, which is not feasible given the amount of time and effort it would take.

If portage implements this type of functionality, we'll look at it then.

I know it, and I mean you could display the search results simplified, ie. the same i see by doing search for autotrace in the search box on the right (of course omitting autotrace itself)
