*** Bug 51035 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This will teach me to try and commit new ebuilds too late at night ;-) It's fixed in Portage, and should be on a local rsync mirror by now. Best regards, Stu thanks for your help but i still fear, that it does not work right: (soft)links are created but not installed which prevents me of using nxserver when logging in. it tells me that libs are missing. ************** ... ranlib libXcomp.a rm -f libXcomp.so.1 ln -s libXcomp.so.1.3.2 libXcomp.so.1 rm -f libXcomp.so ln -s libXcomp.so.1.3.2 libXcomp.so ****** links are created >>> Install nxcomp-1.3.2 into /var/tmp/portage/nxcomp-1.3.2/image/ category net-misc man: prepallstrip: strip: making executable: /usr/lib/libXcomp.so.1.3.2 >>> Completed installing into /var/tmp/portage/nxcomp-1.3.2/image/ >>> Merging net-misc/nxcomp-1.3.2 to / --- /usr/ --- /usr/NX/ --- /usr/NX/lib/ >>> /usr/NX/include/ >>> /usr/NX/include/NX.h --- /usr/lib/ >>> /usr/lib/libXcomp.so.1.3.2 ********** no links here --- /usr/share/ --- /usr/share/doc/ >>> /usr/share/doc/nxcomp-1.3.2/ >>> /usr/share/doc/nxcomp-1.3.2/VERSION.gz >>> /usr/share/doc/nxcomp-1.3.2/README.gz >>> /usr/share/doc/nxcomp-1.3.2/README-IPAQ.gz >>> /usr/share/doc/nxcomp-1.3.2/LICENSE.gz >>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache... * Caching service dependencies... >>> net-misc/nxcomp-1.3.2 merged. >>> Recording net-misc/nxcomp in "world" favorites file... >>> clean: No packages selected for removal. >>> Auto-cleaning packages ... ******************************* strange.... after playing around some more time it seems that the nxclient is not updated to version 1.3.2 so it was false alarm i guess. Well, I've updated the ebuild anyway to make absolutely sure that the symlinks are present. nxclient-1.3.2 will be going into Portage later today. Best regards, Stu |
