Bug 508696 – media-sound/amarok-2.8.0-r1 fails to emerge (compile phase) won't link to mysql

Last night a MariaDB update brought media-sound/amarok-2.8.0-r1 into the emerge queue with @preserved-rebuild. The build got 97% complete when it failed with the following oputput:
