Once security bug #508370 is done, we can also stable some other gnustep packages

all arches:
=gnustep-base/gnustep-make-2.6.6

amd64, ppc, sparc, x86:
=gnustep-base/gnustep-gui-0.24.0
=gnustep-base/gnustep-back-art-0.24.0
=gnustep-base/gnustep-back-cairo-0.24.0
=gnustep-base/gnustep-back-xlib-0.24.0
=virtual/gnustep-back-0.24.0

amd64, ppc, x86:
=gnustep-apps/systempreferences-1.2.0

amd64, x86:
=gnustep-apps/textedit-0.95_pre20100427-r1

sparc:
=gnustep-base/gnustep-updater-0.3 (other arches already have this one)

Will add arches after gnustep-base/gnustep-base stabling

Stabling parts in #508370 are done, arches please go ahead with the list from comment 1, thanks!

Some test applications to check if gnustep-base/* packages work fine could include gnustep-apps/systempreferences, or gnustep-apps/textedit. Avoid gnustep-apps/cenon as it is currently broken per #508586

USE="libobjec2" on gnustep-base/gnustep-make-2.6.6 needs these unstable packages on x86. 
=gnustep-base/libobjc2-1.7 ~x86
=sys-libs/libcxxrt-0.0_p20140322 ~x86
=sys-libs/libcxx-0.0_p20140322 ~x86

Also USE="doc" on gnustep-make fails for me!? -see the attached build.log
