Description Attila Tóth 2014-04-23 14:59:33 UTC
Upon trying to upgrade gnome-base/gnome-extra-apps from 3.10.0 to 3.10.0-r1, it tries to pull in gnome-extra/gnome-user-share for x86 and amd64. My problem is that gnome-user-share pulls in apache. However I would rather want to decide if I'd like to see apache installed on a particular machine.
gnome-base/gnome-extra-apps uses some handy use flags. Such as games. I really like it, because I can decide on whether I want any games pulled in as a dependency.
I propose to add a USE flag apart from x86 and amd64 to let the user/admin decide whether he wants apache pulled in as a dependency. There are some obvious choices, like: apache2, http or httpd to choose from. So no need to introduce a new USE flag, just add an already existing use flag to toggle gnome-user-share installation.

Please consider my proposal, thank you.

Reproducible: Always
