i am experiencing similar issues on my funtoo box.... http://bugs.funtoo.org/browse/FL-1286 ill test the -gstreamer work around on my gentoo box in the next few days. (my gentoo box is also afflicted with thunar crashing from loading thumbnails.) (both amd64) The FFmpeg backend is known to work more reliable than the GStreamer backend for tumbler. With that said, I don't do GStreamer myself at all, and won't be trying to reproduce this, so you'll have to provide more data and report this to: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/ does this still apply to tumbler-0.1.31-r1? Reopen if it does. This still applies and causes definite problems. Gstreamer flag should be disabled. I have checked the different combinations and the only one that works and generates thumbnails and does not cause thunar to hang and other problems is: "ffmpeg -gstreamer" |
