This is weird cause didn't hit me or others. Could you paste emerge --info openssl?

I'm curious, is this reproducible? Can you try also with -j1 in MAKEOPTS?
Comment 6 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-04-08 11:32:04 UTC
Can you post `emerge -pv util-linux coreutils`? I'm purely guessing, but there was some changes in semi-recent history regarding `install` command behavior.
I'd like to know the versions so I could try reproducing this.

> I'm curious, is this reproducible? Can you try also with -j1 in MAKEOPTS?
With -j1 it emerges fine. I suppose I can close the bug.
Comment 8 Panagiotis Christopoulos (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-04-08 14:03:47 UTC
Can you try once (or twice) again with your original configuration? Out of curiosity I want to see if you hit some bizarre parallel make bug or this is reproducible in your system for some reason.
