![]() Wine's dependency string passes repoman and can be satisfied on stable amd64 by installing emul-linux-x86-soundlibs-20131008-r2[alsa,development]: amd64? ( abi_x86_32? ( alsa? ( || ( app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-soundlibs[alsa,development] media-libs/alsa-lib[abi_x86_32] ) ) ) ) However, if you had installed emul-linux-x86-soundlibs with USE=-alsa or USE=-development, portage's autounmasking heuristics perhaps might decide to prompt you to keyword ~arch alsa-lib instead of prompting you to enable a missing flag on emul-linux-x86-soundlibs. For some users, that heuristic suggestion may be the solution they want; for others, it may be unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, portage is not telepathic, and reporting all potential solutions for resolving a dependency would be extremely expensive... the multilib guys don't currently support multilib behavior in stable |
