today i tried test connects to all mirrors the command host rsync.gentoo.org listed. three mirrors faild totally, a connection was not possible. ok, no host specific complaints... shit just happens... but most shocking was the mirror at iq-computing.de. unbearable slow even on a simple rsync ipaddress::gentoo-portage command, which simply should give a toplevel dir listing of the selected module, so no big deal one might think... but to top this: the newest directory carries the date 2002-07-11. 4 days out of date! please kick such unbearable mirrors out of the round robin list!
