merging amarok-9999 on a clean system (no amarok installed before), I get:

I think I tracked down the specific commit and opened an upstream bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331795 .  If there's anything pertinent that I may have missed that gentoo devs want to add to that report, feel free.

Do we know if this bug made it into any releases, or only git? In any case, according to the upstream bug, it's fixed for 2.9

The faulty code identified in the upstream bug report does not appear in the version in tree.
