I did not have such problem with networkmanager-0.9.8.8, but seems with networkmanager-0.9.8.10-r1 it happens. Or may be i should open other bug report?

And networkmanager-0.9.10.0 simply fails to compile (see attachment #385456 [details]). It's noteworthy that I had to keyword it ** to emerge it on ia64, hence this failure may be expected. It's not expected, please open a bug in upstream to let them know -> bugzilla.gnome.org, and post the link here to let us track the issue
This may be related. I updated to net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.10.0 this morning, and now choosing a wifi network in gnome-extra/nm-applet-0.9.10.0 pops up a message to the same effect (Error connecting to D-Bus: Did not receive a reply.). I ran "NetworkManager -nd --log-level=DEBUG" as root to see what was going on and it turns out that NetworkManager crashes. I'll attach complete output shortly. Created attachment 385650 [details]
Debug log of NetworkManager-0.9.10.0 running and crashing when nm-applet connects to bring up a wifi network
Again, assuming my problem is related, I have a little more info. I downgraded NetworkManager and still had the same problem, so I'd guess the problem is actually in one of the dependencies. Different problem it seems :( (In reply to James Dominy from comment #16) > @Pacho: I applied the patch in bug 523700, but I'm still getting the same > behaviour/error. Different problem it seems :( Yeah, I would open a new bug then :) (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #15) > > > And networkmanager-0.9.10.0 simply fails to compile (see attachment #385456 [details] > > > > It's not expected, please open a bug in upstream to let them know -> > > bugzilla.gnome.org, and post the link here to let us track the issue > > Were you able report? Yes. It's handled in bug 523468 Thanks |
