PEBKAC: User failed to read release notes or README.GPU. If you mean "By default, BFGMiner will NOT mine on any GPUs unless in scrypt mode. If you wish to use your GPU to mine SHA256d (generally not a good idea), you can explicitly enable it with the -S opencl:auto option." I mine scrypt so it doesn't apply. The scrypt exception is not part of any released version of BFGMiner, just git. README.GPU in 3.10.x (the nearest maintained version to 3.8.0, which is unmaintained and unsupported) reads "By default, BFGMiner will NOT mine on any GPUs. If you wish to use your GPU to mine (generally not a good idea), you can explicitly enable it with the -S opencl:auto option." Thanks, we can close. |
