The files gentoo.logo and gentoo2.logo say "Drawn by Harri Hautakangas" and "Added by James Rowe <Jay@jnrowe.uklinux.net>", in their headers, but there is no information under which term they can be distributed.

CCing original authors.
Comment 2 James Rowe 2014-02-09 18:29:47 UTC
Assigned to Gentoo Foundation under GPL2 WFM. If you feel something else is
more appropriate then frankly that probably WFM too ;)

Thank you.

Thanks for reporting.

Waiting for Harri Hautakangas response.
Comment 5 Chema Alonso Josa (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-13 10:38:00 UTC
No response from Harri. Revision bump to linux-logo-5.11-r3 with assignment to Gentoo Foundation for both files (gentoo.logo and gentoo2.logo)

Old files will be removed when linux-logo-5.11-r3 gets to stable

Could that cleanup be done please? AFAICS, ebuilds for -r1 and -r2 can be removed, along with files/gentoo.logo, files/gentoo2.logo, and files/logo_config.

Done, thanks for the headup.
