When I tried to emerge PyOpenGL, the distutils setup.py failed with an undefined 'HAS_NUMERIC' variable. Emerging numarray fixed the problem but PyOpenGL should compile with or without numarray|numeric.

works for me .. can you attach the build log for the failing pyopengl ebuild?

There's a new version of pyopengl in portage. Can you check if it still crashes?
