I got this from "emerge -a --depclean" for a couple of weeks now:

 * In order to avoid breakage of link level dependencies, one or more
 * packages will not be removed. This can be solved by rebuilding the
 * packages that pulled them in.
 * 
 *   media-libs/libdca-0.0.5-r3 pulled in by:
 *     media-libs/xine-lib-1.2.4 needs libdca.so.0
 *     media-video/mplayer-1.2_pre20130729 needs libdca.so.0
 *     media-video/vlc-2.1.2 needs libdca.so.0
 *

houston, you have  a problem :)

here with USE=-dts, mplayer does not link to libdca, with dts enabled it does and depends on it...
